Baoli Zhu

Jiangsu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Nanjing, China

Dr. Baoli Zhu, born in February 1966, currently is the Party Secretary, deputy director, and chief physician of the Jiangsu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in charge of several key institutions including the Institute of Occupational Disease Control and the Institute of Radiological Protection. 

His main research interests are occupational health and poisoning control. He also serves as a member of the National Steering Committee on Occupational Disease Diagnosis and Appraisal, the National Committee on Occupational Health Standards, the Technical Committee under the State Administration of Work Safety. With honorable titles such as "Leading Medical Talent in Jiangsu Province", he also acts as board member of the China Occupational Safety and Health Association (COSHA), board member of the China Health Inspection Association, vice chairman of China Health Education Association Occupational Health Promotion Branch, member of the standing committee of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Labor Health and Occupational Disease Branch, chairman of Jiangsu Provincial Preventive Medicine Association Labor Hygiene Committee, and chairman of Jiangsu Provincial Health Education Association Occupational Health Promotion Branch. He has also been invited to act as the tutor of master candidates in Nanjing Medical University, Southeast University, and Nantong University. 

He is the member of the editorial boards of some top journals including Chinese Journal of Industrial Medicine and Journal of Environmental&occupational Medicine. He was the principal investigator of several key research projects supported by the National Health and Family Planning Commission or by Jiangsu Province. He has been engaged in the development of national occupational health standards. Up to now, he has published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He was also one of the key contributors of books including Target Organ Toxicology Series and Engineering of Occupational Health.
