Post malaria neurological syndrome in a Cameroonian child after a Plasmodium falciparum malaria infection

Post malaria neurological syndrome (PMNS) is a rare neurological complication occurring after malaria treatment, and manifests by neuropsychiatric symptoms. We report the first reported case in a Cameroonian child who presented with this syndrome, following severe Plasmodium falciparum malaria. The outcome was favorable.
